We're Rebranding — Here's What's Actually Changing

Same channel, way more intentional content. Here's what's new (and worth sticking around for).

If you've been here since the playthrough days, thank you. That's genuinely where this whole thing started — hop on, load up whatever game I was into that week, and figure it out on camera with you all watching. It was fun, it taught me a lot, and it's not going anywhere completely.

But the channel's growing up a bit, and the content needs to grow with it. So here's the plan.

Playthroughs Are Sticking Around — Just Not Driving the Bus

Let's get this one out of the way first: playthroughs aren't disappearing. But instead of "whatever I picked up this week," they're becoming more selective and more purposeful. Less filler and more games that actually earn the screen time.

The Real Shift: Video Game Essays

This is the big one For me. Instead of playing through a game start to finish, I want to actually talk about games — the design choices, the storytelling, why something works or completely doesn't, what a game is trying to say and whether it pulls it off. Less "watch me play," more "let's think about this together." If you're into video essays as a format, this is where a lot of the energy is going.

Video Game Challenges: Mechanics Under the Microscope

The other new pillar is challenges — but not challenges for the sake of a gimmick. These are built to poke at a game's mechanics directly. Speedrun-adjacent restrictions, self-imposed rules, "what if I only used this one mechanic the entire game" type stuff. It's a way to explore how a game actually works from the inside, instead of just narrating a normal playthrough.

So that's the rebrand in a nutshell: fewer "let's play whatever," more thought-out ideas, sharper essays, and challenges that actually dig into design instead of just being a stunt.

Same channel. Same me. Just more focused on the stuff that made me want to make videos in the first place.

More to come soon — including reviews and deeper dives once the new content section of the site is fully live.
